Statistician

Responsibilities:

Position 1

The successful candidate will be responsible for the collection and compilation of statistics in one or more specific fields, conduct statistical research and analysis, develop new systems and indicators to support users' statistical requirements.

The candidate will participate in and work with a wide spectrum of statistical data to assist in decision- and policy-making. He/She is comfortable working both alone and as a member of a team.

Position 2 - Data Management System

The successful candidate will be required to coordinate and implement data management initiatives to facilitate data access. The candidate should have good communications skills as he/she will be required to make presentations at various inter-agency meetings. The candidate will be required to administer data management systems, conduct training sessions for various users on system functions, and promote the use and contribution by public agencies. The candidate should also have the necessary technical knowledge to assess and implement enhancements to data management systems.

Requirements:
At least a good honours degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or other related disciplines and subjects with substantial quantitative content. Eg. Accountancy, Information Technology which are relevant for specific jobs.
Candidates with IT experience will have an added advantage.
Possess strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to learn and apply computer packages for statistical work.

Management Executive Officer (Human Resource)
As a Management Executive Officer (Human Resource), you will:

Be part of the HR team managing a full spectrum of human resource functions which cover performance and talent management, training and development, recruitment as well as compensation and benefits strategies;
Responsible for compensation activities like job benchmarking and salary analysis, employee communication and development programmes

Requirements:
A Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Studies or Business Administration or other related discipline;.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience. HR experience in the public sector will have an added advantage;
Possess strong team leadership and people development skills;
Possess strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills as well as strategic thinking abilities.

You will provide statistical support to manage key functions in database enhancement and maintenance, survey operations, data generation and computations of statistical indicators.

Management Support Officer (Human Resource)
As a Management Support Officer (Human Resource), you will:
 
Provide administrative support in a wide range of human resource functions including recruitment, compensation and benefits, training, staff welfare, and HR database management.
Perform secretarial duties duties such as handling phone calls, co-ordinating meetings and filling etc.
Support various HR initiatives and ad-hoc assignments.
 
Requirements:
A diploma in Business Administration, Business Studies, Banking & Finance, Accountancy or Information Technology.
Preferably with minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Well-organized and meticulous.
Motivated and able to work independently and multi-task.
Good written and communication skills.

Attractive Remuneration & Benefits
 
Commencing Gross Monthly Salary:
 
  Statistician from $3,200
  Management Executive Officer from $2,720
  Management Support Officer from $1,780


The commencing salary will commensurate with educational qualifications, NS and relevant working experience.

Attractive and market competitive benefits include 13th month, mid-year & year-end payments, market adjustment component for statisticians, 18 days' vacation leave & 14 days' medical leave, medical & dental subsidies and use of government holiday bungalows.
