| Shareholders’ equity grew by 9.1% to $769 billion while total assets in Singapore’s corporate sector expanded by 8.6% to $3,111 billion as at end 2005. Rate of return on assets (ROA) rose
from 4.4% in 2004 to 5.3% in 2005. Companies generated higher return on equity (ROE) of 15.2% in 2005, compared to 13.1% in the previous year. |
