Data on companies and businesses include all those registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) as well as those registered with professional bodies, e.g. legal services and medical services.

These data are compiled from the administrative records of ACRA and relevant organisations (e.g. The Law Society of Singapore, Singapore Medical Council, Board of Architects or Professional Engineers Board), as well as surveys conducted by the Singapore Department of Statistics.
