The Singapore Department of Statistics has released an Information Paper titled "Revision and Rebasing of the Consumer Price Index (Base Year 2004=100)" (221kb) .

This technical paper provides details of the revision and rebasing of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) to reference year 2004. It presents an overview of the concept and definition as well as uses of CPI, the methodology used in the compilation and rebasing, as well as linking of historical series. The weighting pattern for the 2004-based CPI as well as a detailed list of items selected for pricing are presented in the appendices.
