Singapore Department of Statistics conducts a number of business and household surveys to collect and compile important data for use by government policy maker in their policy planning and decision making. We appreciate very much the cooperation of the population, households, companies, businesses and other institutions in completing the survey returns.
Our surveys are conducted under the Statistics Act (Chapter 317). Your completed return will be kept in confidence in accordance with the Statistics Act. With your strong support, timely and accurate statistical information could be produced and released.

Industry Statistics

The Singapore Department of Statistics conducts the Census of Population once in every ten years. The Census of Population 2010 is the fifth census carried out since Independence and the fourteenth in the series of census-taking in Singapore. The Census covers a wide range of socio-economic topics on the population and households.
