Learning and development is an integral part of career development for our officers. There are various opportunities for our officers to participate in overseas and local courses, study visits, international conferences and seminars, and inter-agency projects, and cross-functional assignments to equip them with enhanced analytical and professional skills as well as advanced knowledge and expertise in specialised subject-matters.

We also provide opportunities for our officers to gain exposure to greater challenges and responsibilities and broaden their skills through job rotation within and beyond the Department as part of their career development.

We are committed in upscaling our officers’ data competencies and statistical skills with a myriad of learning resources and sharing sessions by our very own DOS Academy to enable them to make informed and evidence-based decisions in their work.
