Overview
Data on live births are obtained from records maintained by the Registry of Births and Deaths. The data covers all live births occurring within Singapore and its territorial waters as registered under the prevailing Registration of Births and Deaths Act in force at the material time. Data on fertility rates and number of children born compiled by the Singapore Department of Statistics depict the fertility profile of Singapore’s resident population.
