    "Datasets" means statistical data comprised in the Contents;

    "Embedded Content" means embedded content which is hosted on external websites;

    "Parties" means you and the Government, and "Party" means any one of them; and

    "Statutory Board" means a body corporate established by or under written law to perform or discharge any public function under the supervisory charge of a ministry or organ of state.

Proprietary Rights

  1. This Website is owned and operated as its official website by the Department of Statistics ("DOS"), a department of the Ministry of Trade and Industry in the Government of the Republic of Singapore (the "Government", "we", "our" or "us").

  2. This Website includes content provided by the Government and Statutory Boards.

  3. This Website may present and display Embedded Content.

  4. The Contents are protected by copyright, trademark and other forms of proprietary rights.

  5. Save to the extent provided for in Clause 10, you shall not have any right, title or interest in or to any intellectual property in any of the Contents. The title to all intellectual property in the Contents shall be owned by the Government.

To the extent there is any inconsistency between the terms of the ODL and these Terms of Use, the terms of the ODL shall prevail.

Subject to your continued compliance with these Terms of Use, you may grant a sub-licence of the Contents to the extent such sub-licence is necessary to enable users of your application or website ("your Sub-Licensees") to use your application or access your website. Breach

Remedies

  1. The rights and remedies of the Government under these Terms of Use are cumulative and are without prejudice and in addition to any rights or remedies the Government may have at law or in equity. No exercise by the Government of any one right or remedy under these Terms of Use, or at law or in equity shall operate so as to hinder or prevent the exercise by it of any other right or remedy under these Terms of Use, at law or in equity.

Rights of Third Parties

  1. Save for the Statutory Boards, a person who is not a party to these Terms of Use shall have no right under the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001 or otherwise to enforce any term of these Terms of Use. A Statutory Board may enforce and rely on these Terms of Use to the same extent as if it were a party. Variation or rescission of these Terms of Use shall not require the consent of any third party.

Severability

  1. If any provision in these Terms of Use is determined to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, such provision or part of it shall, to the extent it is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, be deemed not to form part of these Terms of Use and the legality, validity and enforceability of the remainder of these Terms of Use shall not be affected.

Waiver

  1. No failure or delay on the part of the Government in exercising any right under these Terms of Use, or at law or in equity, shall operate as a release or waiver thereof. No waiver of any breach of these Terms of Use shall be deemed to be a waiver of any other or of any subsequent breach. Any waiver granted under these Terms of Use must be in writing and may be given subject to conditions. Such waiver shall be effective only in the instance and for the purpose for which it is given.

Governing Law

  1. These Terms of Use shall be governed and construed in accordance with laws of the Republic of Singapore.

Dispute Resolution

  1. Each Party irrevocably agrees that the courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any Dispute. Each Party irrevocably submits to the jurisdiction of such courts.
