The indicator tracks whether the country has implemented sustainable public procurement policies and action plans.
Concepts
Sustainable public procurement is a priority for the Singapore government. Under the GreenGov.SG initiative, the public sector leads the way in attaining sustainability targets in carbon abatement and resource efficiency, and in promoting green efforts. Targets under the initiative include reducing energy and water use by 10% from the baseline by 2030, embedding environmental sustainability considerations into all government procurement by 2028, and elevating environmental sustainability awareness and knowledge across the public sector.
