Degree of implementation of international instruments aiming to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing

Singapore is committed to combating Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing and is undertaking efforts to align our port state measures with international standards such as the FAO Port State Measures Agreement (PSMA). We contribute actively to international and regional efforts to combat IUU fishing, such as the International Plan of Action to Prevent, Deter and Eliminate Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing (IPOA-IUU) and Regional Plan of Action to Promote Responsible Fishing Practices including Combating IUU Fishing in the Region (RPOA-IUU).
