(a) Have Conducted At Least One Population And Housing Census In The Last 10 Years: The indicator tracks whether the country has conducted at least one population and housing census in the last 10 years.
(b) Have Achieved 100 Per Cent Birth Registration And 80 Per Cent Death Registration: The indicator tracks whether the country has achieved two components: (b1) nearly 100% birth registration; and (b2) more than 80% death registration.

The Census is the most comprehensive source of information providing a statistical profile of the population and households in Singapore.
(b) Have Achieved 100 Per Cent Birth Registration And 80 Per Cent Death Registration: Data are estimated based on local birth registrations and local death registrations. Singapore has a good vital registration system for the collection of vital statistics on births and deaths. Under the Registration of Births and Deaths Act 2021, all live-births and deaths occurring within Singapore and its territorial waters are required to be registered with the Registry of Births and Deaths within the stipulated period of within 42 days for birth and 24 hours for deaths.
