Proportion of agricultural area under productive and sustainable agriculture
Only about 1 per cent of our land is set aside for agricultural use. Given local production of agricultural produce is key to our food resilience, we have continued efforts to ensure that such land is used in a productive and sustainable manner. To ensure that agricultural land is productive, we regularly monitor the productivity of the sector and provide support to enhance productivity where necessary, including by growing their offtake opportunities as well as co-funding adoption of farming technologies.
