This article presents Singapore's first experimental estimates of digital industries, developed by the Singapore Department of Statistics using an internationally recognised framework from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. Covering 2021 to 2023, the estimates provided insights into the contributions of digital industries to Singapore's economy, the key industries driving digital transformation and how their performance has evolved over the period.

The article also explains the data sources and innovative methods used in the compilation process, including surveys, administrative data, web-scraping and machine learning, and shows how the estimates complement existing measures of Singapore's digital economy.
