Learning and Growth

Learning and Growth

At DOS, we prioritise our people and invest in their growth through job-specific learning opportunities and leadership training. We offer opportunities for overseas and local courses, conferences, inter-agency projects, cross functional assignments and job rotations to gain exposure. We provide learning resources and career coaches to support officers’ career development and data competencies.

Structured Job Rotation Programme and
Secondment Opportunities

Year 1

Upscale data competencies and statistical skills with DOS's learning resources e.g. on-the-go learning and in-house training.

Work alongside experienced team members to apply these learning to real world data analysis.

Year 2 to 3

Deepen technical expertise through interesting cross-functional data projects.

Partner with team members to experiment with new ideas to innovate and improve existing statistical work processes and methodologies

Year 4 & Beyond

Broaden perspective through job rotation and/or secondments to other statistical functional areas within DOS or other public agencies.

Develop project management and leadership skills via planning and managing inter-agency projects and guiding new team members.

DOS Academy

DOS Academy

Upscale data competencies and statistical skills across the data value chain with a myriad of learning resources and sharing sessions by our very own DOS Academy, which enable officers to make informed and evidence-based decisions in one’s area of work.

Our Culture
