Balance of Payments

Statistics on the Balance of Payments (BOP) and Inward Direct Investment Flows (FDI Inflows) are compiled by the Singapore Department of Statistics. The BOP is a statement that summarises the economic transactions between residents of an economy and non-residents. Singapore’s FDI inflows record the value of transactions by foreign direct investors that increase the investment in Singapore-based enterprises less transactions that decrease their investment during a given period of time.
