Singapore’s trade in services statistics are compiled by the Singapore Department of Statistics using both survey and administrative data, with the International Trade in Services Survey (TIS Survey) being the main data source.

International trade in services statistics are compiled based on the principles and guidelines set out in the International Monetary Fund's Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual, Sixth Edition (BPM6). These guidelines include the definition, valuation, classification and recording of trade in services between residents and non-residents.

International services transactions are valued at market prices i.e., the transactions are valued at the actual price agreed upon between the supplier and the consumer.
